Tai Cheong bakery's egg tarts are quite different from the egg tarts I am used to eating - it has a thicker crust and it's more buttery. I heard it was Chris Patten, the last British Hong Kong Governor's favorite egg tart place. Definitely worth checking it out.

Gan getting us some egg tarts

How come only managed to eat 2?

These egg tarts were quite huge, it was difficult to eat more than one tart per person. we just had a heavy brunch right before that too.

Finally, I got to know how to leave a message here. =) The tart looks so yummy...where can we get such a huge one in nyc?

Florence, I have yet to discover a place in NYC that sells huge egg tarts like tai cheong's, but the egg tarts at Egg Custard King Cafe in Chinatown are pretty good.

Not sure if you are into Mochi, but the Mango mochis at the cafe are delicious also, especially eating them after refrigerating overnight! very refreshing!
